Garden: Slugs!

We have a huge number of slugs here, although thanks to increasing the habitat for predators - a pond for amphibians, undergrowth for hedgehogs, beetle bunds and long grass for glowing glow worms - and other measures like the nightly slug hunt, numbers so far are down on last previous years.  But I still raise as much as possible away from the vegetable garden just to give it a fighting chance, although that is not without a few dangers.

I have a raised table built out of pallets, with spiky wire mesh around the legs, but I still have to strip it down at least once a week to remove a few intrepid slugs who somehow have climbed up .

All the trays taken off for their weekly check - under each pot and under every tray!

Now I need to find ways to beat the leather jackets who seem to be replacing the slugs as enemy number one!
