Our lovely neighbour gave us a crate of figs from his garden this week.
We've been eating delicious fresh figs for lunch, so ripe that there was juice pooling in the bottom of the bowl, not to mention running down our chins!
Two kilos have been turned into a luscious dark purple jam (in a reused jar from a popular brand!) ...
... and tonight we'll be eating fig and almond tart. Or possibly just more fresh figs with icecream.
