French Living: The Gorges du Tarn

In the middle of June we went to the Gorges du Tarn for a couple of days in search of the perfect Bleu des Causes cheese. My partner has always been a Roquefort lover, but frugal living has always pushed us to the bottom end of the market - not consistent and usually little more than average.  And then he found Bleu des Causses and Roquefort was dismissed.
To cut a long story short, a decent BdC was not found and he is once more in love with Roquefort, specifically that made by le Vieux Berger.  Which of course we cannot find in the kind of places we can afford to shop!
So instead, some pictures.

Saint-Chély-du-Tarn

Church and village nestling between the rock and the river.

Morning sunlight just turning the stone pink.

View upstream.

And from above - the village is on the right hand bank of the curve in the river Tarn.

Further upstream, the almost too pretty town of Sainte-Enimie.

Love a pot of hostas!
